Caravita Big Ben – the durable large umbrella for hotels and restaurants

The Big Ben is Caravita’s flagship model, designed for professional use in gastronomy, hotels and public outdoor spaces. With spans up to 7 m, a solid aluminium frame and precise telescope mechanism, it provides reliable shade and weather protection – Made in Europe.

Frame and Construction

The frame is made of powder-coated aluminium for maximum strength. The mast (Ø 84 mm, 5 mm wall thickness), reinforced 40 × 20 mm ribs and aluminium crown ensure wind resistance up to 100 km/h. A stainless steel hinge makes maintenance easy. A PVC protective cover (without telescopic rod) is included.

Canopy

The canopy is made of 100 % spun-dyed acrylic (285–330 g/m²), colourfastness 7–8 (ISO 105-B02), water- and dirt-repellent, ÖKO-Tex 100 certified. Optional fabrics include All Weather acrylic (waterproof up to 1000 mm, EN 20811) and Tentmesh net fabric for high wind areas. Options: straight or flowing valance, wind hood, wind roof and mast extension (30–60 cm).

Accessory Packages Big Ben

For the Caravita Big Ben, complete accessory packages are available, combining coordinated components for lighting and heating comfort. Each package is pre-assembled and ready for connection – ideal for professional outdoor hospitality use.

LED Package: pre-installed LED lights (warm white or RGB) with wiring and 230 V mains connection / IP-protected
Heating Package: one or more infrared heaters (1 500 W, IP65) with ILME plug and connection cable
Comfort Package: combination of LED lighting and infrared heaters with shared power supply and control unit
Radio / Control Package: WMS wireless control system with hand transmitter for motor, light and heating
Complete Package Pro: fully integrated set including motor drive, LED system, heaters and pre-wired junction box inside the mast

All packages are factory-tested and can be ordered with new umbrellas or retrofitted later. Cable ducts, plugs and distribution boxes are included in each package. Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
