Scolaro Palladio Standard – Iroko Wooden Parasol for Hospitality and Terraces

The Scolaro Palladio Standard is a classic centre-pole parasol with a frame made from selected Iroko wood. The wood is treated with a protective finish for outdoor use. Ten parasol sizes in round, square and rectangular formats provide a suitable choice for private terraces as well as larger outdoor areas in hospitality settings.

Key benefits at a glance

10 parasol sizes in round, square and rectangular formats
Round models from Ø 2.5 m to Ø 4 m, square models up to 4 x 4 m
Rope pulley system for opening and closing
350 g/m² acrylic canopy
Design and valance availability depends on the selected parasol size

10 sizes in round, square and rectangular formats

The Palladio Standard is available in a total of 10 parasol sizes. Round versions are available in Ø 2.5 m, Ø 3 m, Ø 3.5 m and Ø 4 m. For Ø 2.5 m, there are two versions with mast diameters of 38 or 48 mm. Square versions are available in 2 x 2 m, 3 x 3 m, 3.5 x 3.5 m and 4 x 4 m. Rectangular versions are also available in 2 x 3 m and 3 x 4 m.

The range therefore extends from compact wooden parasols for smaller seating areas to a large 4 x 4 m wooden parasol for appropriately sized terraces and hospitality outdoor areas.

Iroko wood with protective finish for outdoor use

The Palladio Standard frame is made from selected Iroko wood and treated with a protective finish for outdoor use. Its natural wood appearance makes the Palladio an alternative to commercial parasols with aluminium frames.

Depending on the parasol size, Scolaro uses masts with diameters of 38, 48 or 58 mm. The number of ribs is also matched to the respective version. Construction details therefore vary according to the selected parasol size.

Opening and closing with a rope pulley system

The Palladio Standard is opened and closed using a rope pulley system. When planning the installation location, sufficient space should be allowed not only for the open parasol but also for closing it. This is particularly important when tables or other furniture are positioned directly beneath the parasol.

350 g/m² acrylic canopy

The Palladio Standard is supplied with a 350 g/m² acrylic canopy. The available designs and valance versions depend on the selected parasol size.

Designs and valance options

Ecru is available without a valance for all regular parasol sizes. For selected square and rectangular sizes, Ecru is also available with a valance.

Terracotta and Bordeaux are available only for certain sizes and, for some of these sizes, with a valance. The designs Taupe Grey, White, Silver Grey, Anthracite Grey and Black are offered in the regular range exclusively without a valance and are also not available for every parasol size.

The combinations available for selection in the shop correspond to the regular Scolaro range. Additional designs or versions may be possible on request for larger quantities.

Canopy for outdoor use

The acrylic fabric is treated for outdoor use. Scolaro describes the current 350 g/m² acrylic collection as suitably treated for outdoor conditions and treated against mould formation.

General claims regarding UV protection or water column are deliberately not stated here, as these properties may depend on the individual fabric version. The relevant technical fabric specifications should be consulted when selecting a particular canopy.

Selecting the appropriate fixing for the parasol size

Different parasol bases and ground fixings are available for the Palladio Standard. The appropriate fixing depends in particular on the selected parasol size and intended installation location. Scolaro's minimum ballast weights and fixing recommendations for the respective version should therefore be taken into account when making a selection.

Care of the Iroko wood

For long-term use, Scolaro recommends regular care of the wooden components. According to the manufacturer's instructions, a wax-based wood protection product should be applied at least once a year before the winter season. In unsuitable weather conditions such as strong winds or driving rain, the parasol should be closed.
