“Made in Europe” is more than just a label for us. What matters is where a product is made, which materials are used and whether it can still be maintained, repaired or fitted with a new canopy after many years of use.
Using our PALMA market parasol as an example, we show how in-house production, material selection and long-term spare parts service come together at Zangenberg.
Production at Our Own Facility in Wallenhorst
The PALMA market parasol is manufactured at our facility in Wallenhorst. The product range has been in use for more than 20 years and is used in restaurants, cafés, beer gardens, market stalls and private outdoor areas.
Being close to our own production enables short coordination processes and direct control of the individual production steps. At the same time, many configurations can be adapted to the requirements of the respective application.
Bolted Construction Instead of a Disposable Product
One of the key advantages of the PALMA is its bolted construction. Individual components can be replaced if necessary instead of having to replace the entire parasol.
For parasols that are intended to be used for many years, this repairability is an important part of product quality. Frame, mechanism and canopy remain serviceable and maintainable over the long term.
Spare Parts and Replacement Canopies Available Long Term
Suitable spare parts and replacement canopies for PALMA market parasols remain available for many years. This means that a technically sound parasol can continue to be used and can be visually or functionally renewed when required.
This spare parts strategy helps avoid unnecessary replacement purchases and makes sense economically for private users as well as for restaurants, hospitality businesses and commercial customers.
High-Quality Canopies for Different Requirements
Depending on the configuration, PALMA parasols are available with high-quality premium polyester or premium acrylic canopies. For many versions, Airtex branded polyester by Mehler is also used.
The canopies are made to order and, depending on the model, can be supplied with or without a valance and with or without a wind vent. Individual advertising prints for restaurants, hotels and businesses are also possible.
This allows the parasols to be adapted both functionally and visually to a wide range of applications.
Quality for Private and Commercial Use
The requirements placed on a parasol vary depending on where and how it is used. A parasol on a private terrace is used differently from a market parasol that is opened and closed every day in the hospitality sector.
The key factors remain the same: robust construction, high-quality materials, careful workmanship and the possibility of replacing wear parts even after many years.
For us, quality is therefore not only about how a parasol looks on the first day, but also about how long it can be used, maintained and repaired.
