Terrace shading for the Farmhouse in Osnabrück – a project for its first anniversary
Special projects are created where usage, atmosphere and quality come together. For the hotel and hospitality project Farmhouse in Osnabrück, we implemented the terrace shading solution – a project completed in 2024.
On today’s occasion, we would like to congratulate the entire Farmhouse team on its first anniversary and thank them for the trust placed in our work.
The initial situation
The terrace is a central meeting point for guests and an essential part of the Farmhouse hospitality concept. The goal was to provide reliable shade while preserving the open atmosphere and views of the surrounding landscape.
Due to the size of the terrace and its different usage zones, a well-planned large-scale solution was required.
The implementation
The terrace was equipped with four large umbrellas featuring acrylic canopies, each measuring 400 × 500 cm. The umbrellas are permanently anchored using ground sockets, providing a stable and evenly distributed shading solution for the hospitality outdoor area.
The arrangement allows for a clear structuring of the terrace and creates comfortable shaded areas for different seating zones, while maintaining the open character of the site.
A place to arrive and stay
Today, the terrace is an integral part of the Farmhouse experience – a place for breakfast, social gatherings, events and relaxed moments outdoors.
This project demonstrates how thoughtfully planned shading solutions can enhance comfort and make outdoor spaces usable in the long term.
